At Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia (RMHC NA), we are an independent, not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting families with seriously ill or injured children. Our mission is to provide vital programs that alleviate some of the burdens families face during their child’s medical treatment, offering them a place of comfort, care, and hope through treatment and recovery.
Our programs reach over 1.3 million kilometres of North Australia landscape—from Cape York and the Torres Strait, through the Northern Territory, to Mount Isa and Mackay—offering comfort and care during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Just 30-minutes from Cairns and nestled opposite the serene Palm Cove beachfront, Ronald McDonald Family Retreat offers a resort sanctuary for families navigating the challenges of caring for an ill or injured child, or bereaving the loss of a child.
